Am curious as to how you got the shade out. Was it forced and/or reusable again? I'm having the EXACT same problem. Shade and glass seem to be paired or stuck together. Only shade goes all the way forward and glass stays back a few inches! I'm really hoping I don't have to drop headliner. After reading 1000's of threads here, I suspect I'll rhino-line the whole sunroof just to be done with leaks, rusty cables and general failures of said sunroof! Thanks for the post! At least I have something to look for! Appreciate it!

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but didn't want to create a new one.

I have the exact same issue here as the OP. I've greased the tracks and find nothing that may have cause for the sunroof to be stuck about 6"-8". I've tried to close it manually, but the screw will not even budge.

Has anyone ever find a fix or solution for this? I really do not want to take the whole entire headliner apart. Thanks!

Any solution here? Mine stopped closing this morning due to this issue. Thanks.

If it simply stopped closing, that's one thing. It could be the motor. Mine stopped because the shade jumped is stop (or the glass jumped shade stop). If shade/ window skipped each other, you'll need to pull headliner. It's a pain. If it'll reverse and then fwd but just not close glass all the way = shade & glass are out of sync.

Best of luck,

Fiddy
