Sorry for the last minute notice. The FJC group decided on a Puerco run tomorrow at 1000 at the end of Southern. If you're interested, please feel free to attend. I will be there, as will Lawrence in his J**P. Hope to see you.
Paul

I might be there...

I got some work to do first though. Gotta put the drive flanges and driveshaft on. :o

Don't be a wimp - get out there and wheel in 2WD!

P.S. to Paul - Thanks for letting us know. Unfortunately, I am already booked for tomorrow. Have a blast!

You're killing me, but I'm also going to pass. I want to play ... but I really want to play in Da'40. Gotta take advantage of the motivation.

What's this elitist "FJC group"? Back in the day we all used to wheel without regard to model. Or does this group keep to the easy stuff?

I'm tied up tomorrow too... Have fun!

The problem there is that the "FJC Group" met through another forum before most, in any, of us knew about the HDC's. We are now trying to join the two. Yes, some guys take it easy in their FJC. Others tear it up, sometimes literally. If you want to lead us on a trail sometime, just let us know and I'm sure some of us will follow.

Certainly not an 'elitist' group. I refer to them as a group .They got together on the FJC forum and wheel together. I have been trying to get the HDC group and the FJC group together, hence the notice of this run.... We all have the same goal and are all great people.

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing.

Question: Does the Rubi have electric swaybar disconnects and did they use them on that twisty section? They had very good front droop in that trail section.

-Mike-

It did have an electronic swaybar disconnect, all of the new rubicons do. I don't know if it was disco'd or not but judging from this pic I think it was.

The FJC doesn't have anywhere near that kind of flex. Actually I was very impressed with that 4 door rubi. It was lifted 3 or 4 inches with 35's and made everything look easy. We tried this climb in an FJC (I won't say who) and couldn't make it. The Jeep walked it.

Those 4 door Rubi's are hill climbing animals. How much is an SAS from AllPro?

Like $10k just for the kit. For that price, you could buy an old jeep (or yota) and build the heck out of it

It's OK Lawrence, you can tell them that it was me to didn't make that climb -- But at least I gave it the ol' college try:o
The other side of this obstacle was fun too - I did make it up that:clap:
We had a great time today. Wish you could have all made it. We will certainly do it again. I must say, I have a new respect for the Jeeps. We (the Jeep mostly) even pulled a Nissan truck that was dangling off one of the faces. Great save! See you all at the meeting next week.

Beadlocks and low tire pressure make all the difference in the world.

They didn't know that. I would have taken that to the grave. Just kidding, you did give it a good try. You hit it pretty hard, i was waiting for a loud bang:doh:
