Steps: How to replace the steering rack

so I have tried the search feature and do not know why I can not find this.

The rack on my 1999 LX470 is leaking badly and I plan on replacing it within the next month.

I would bet a large amount of money that it has been already very well documented but the searches only return rack bushings, and other components, no rack...

I will use this post and add to it the steps I followed once I begin.

If there are other people that have already done this please attach the link.

+1 That's the FAQ I used. I used the "jack the engine up a little" method that is mentioned further down. It's a challenge to do but certainly within the realm of anyone with mechanical skills.
