I'm almost positive the glass itself is only held on by 4 nuts. They are readily apparent when you pull off the black plastic trim pieces around the frame on the inside. (Look at the FSM page BO-74.)
Now if the tracks or something else is...
Just checking and topping up. Overall it works great but a few years back got a little low and froze up on a trip so now I just check each spring and have noticed turning on the rear system causes the bubbles and pressures to vary a lot more.
My followup dumb question to your dumb question, haha.
Since only one compressor, isn't the high / low pressure ports in the engine the only ports to access? Does the rear system have separate ports? I see no mention of that in the FSM and don't...
Almost 100% sure it's just the valve cover gaskets. Mine does the same thing. I snugged them down ever so gently years ago and it helped for a little while. The torque ratings for the bolts is pretty low. They will feel loose but you certainly...
For those with the factory rear A/C and everything still stock and working properly, quick pressure checking question...
I have the FSM and it says with the sight glass or the manifold gauges to have "fan speed at hi, AC ON, temp to full cool...
I pull my 22' Bayliner all summer long with my '04. 5k-5.5k lbs all loaded up. Only go about 10 miles to the ramp. Flat it's fine, hills are slow and braking you need to plan ahead. Highway speeds you can watch the gas gauge drop and isn't real...
It's the SLT one on the bottom of the pic. Those are on the passenger side when you climb under it. You gotta pull the filter off too to access the little metal clip that holds it in place.
Yes, that's it. Recently replaced the one in my '04. Mine was part number 35290-60030 but it varies based on your VIN and not just the model year. You'll also need to move the front driveshaft out of the way. That gave me a bit of a headache but...
It's definitely a shifting issue and not the driveshafts. The lower transmission cooler hose popped loose and got cut by the fan resulting in a major leak and the tranny to quit working. Dealer fixed the hose and refilled with WS fluid. Later...
Has anyone used the Lucas Transmission Fix additive in their A750F tranny ('03 / newer 5 spd)?
Good, bad, no difference???
I'm chasing an intermittent downshift clunk from 3rd to 2nd (I think). Upshifts are smooth, usual downshifts smooth...
Mine started after a leak in a transmission cooler line and lost a lot of fluid. The solenoid replacement is pretty simple. I replaced the pan gasket and tranny filter as well. I did have to disconnect the front driveshaft for enough clearance to...
I just replaced mine in November... ordered from the local Toyota dealer through their on-line parts portal. Pricing was similar to most others and free shipping too.
Curious, is yours throwing that P2714 code consistently? Did something happen...
Mine does the exact same thing... very annoying. I think it's just the slack in the pin that connects the brake pedal to the master cylinder actuator. I've thought of ways to try to "fix" it but haven't tackled it yet.
