the second go around with the doors looks much better. aesthetically, i think its 3-4 inches short somewhere. i cant quite put my finger on it though.

Cheers.

Well it took a bit longer than expected but when I got home tonight my new 40 series was sitting in the yard. Looking good to start the first rear door on the weekend.

Steelart, Where are the progress shots??? I'd imagine you'd have it painted by now. We have been waiting patiently but the time has come to show us the good.

It is with great interpretation that I want to take my BJ and turn it into a 4 door and you seem to be the first person to do it.

It looks great so far and I'm positive it will be killer.

Cheers

Bumpity bump...

Hoping to see some more progress and info.

SteelArt

This car has inspired me I saw you 4th post in this thread and thought that is the wheelbase and look I am after, you have even got me thinking of a coil over conversion (This is going to cost me lol!)

Wow reading this, you were on such a good roll. Too bad it has dropped off, but I am sure hoping to see the finished product one of these days.
Cheers

How's this thing coming along now????

So when Steelart sold up in Oz and moved to the US, I ended up buying this rig. Ended up just going for a stretched 40 look instead of the 4 door hardtop. The 4 door and hardtop thing would have been awesome to do, but it doesn't suit the wheeling I do. (from experience with my old silver 40).

Heres a few pics of how it looks now. Its heading down to Brooksys in a couple weeks time for roll cage, sliders, tube flares, tube gaurds, and front and rear bars.

Anyway, my reason for digging this thread up, and it might be a long shot, but did anyone save any of the original buildup pics Steelart posted. He's lost most of them when a hard drive crashed. Would love a copy of any some of you may have.

Cheers, Dave.
