Hi ya'll,

I've finally decided to tear apart my pig and do a resto mod. I've had this particular wagon for 19 years, and it's time. I've got rust coming out of places that are not good. I don't have a roof, so I don't have the rain gutter problem like most. I'm planning on a coil/link frontend and SOA in the rear. It's got a GM V8 and Toyota 5 spd/transfer from a mid 80's 60. I plan on keeping the axles(front has 60 ends and discs). I've got to the point where most of the teardown is done, and I've had the doors and tailgate blasted and primed waiting for sheet metal work and paint prep. I'll be pulling the body off as soon as the front suspension gets tacked in. I'll send more pics as I get s*** done.

Im not a 55 fan but I REALLY like that rig.

X2 but not sure restoration is the right word - would suggest your putting it back to original and so on and that doesn't seem the plan - rebuild?

Very unique looking rig, look forward to seeing the finished article.

Thanks for the compliments. I'll probably be buried in this truck. It's more of a resto-mod, not restoration. I just need to stop the rust beast, and mine as well do it right. When I had it painted 12 years ago, we used a Chrysler Silver code. It came out really nice. I'm not sure what I'm going to paint it this time. Probably close to the same. Maybe a little darker. I've attached some more pics. Hey, F4MDTWR, where is SoCal are you? I'm down in Oceanside.
