Thank you! You gave me all I needed. Was able to deduce the rest from inside like you said. Always feels good when a 15 minute job takes 15 minutes. View attachment 3641040View attachment 3641041View attachment 3641042View attachment 3641043
You maybe want to make a picture of the cable that goes to that plug? Was already wondering if one of my cables might be the 12v

I've been meaning to ask this one for a few days:

Anyone take a stab at reducing, or notice the hood flutter at faster end of highway speeds? 65-70.
...working on a version of this for you. 3D printing protos, now. What color you prefer?

Pulled a vinyl decal off the gas tank door yesterday, was left with the outline. SQOD: best ways to address this? Clearly the paint isn't a massive concern, but seeing the outline will drive me nuts. Wash/wax and then?
*don't mind me not trying to be in the pic.

I've used McGuires and Mothers compound and an orbital buffer or elbow grease to remove and clean stuff like that up on my rig. They sell various grits but use a basic non aggressive one and just do it slowly. It will clean up after a few passes.

Here are the 2 I use for most stuff...

Run a couple trails that will scratch up the circle area too?

I have a big pile of new parts in my garage right now, I'm at 110K so it's time for the usual radiator and other "while I'm in there" swap. I thought there was a thread on here on all the tips to swap the radiator, but I can't find it. Even checked the FAQ. Am I imagining it?

How much trouble will I get into when I disconnect the trans cooler lines?

There’s lots of good info in this one

If you're worried about the torque converter dumping a gallon of fluid... don't worry. If you just catch the fluid that comes out of the cooler lines and bottom of the radiator you can add it back into the transmission. You can limit the amount of fluid by stuffing a golf tee or something into the cooler lines you remove, but I don't believe that much actually comes out of those. Failing that just have an extra quart handy and follow the procedure to warm up the transmission and top it off when you're done.

A set of plastic hose pinch pliers is cheap and works great for things like the trans cooler lines.

Thanks much fellahs... not sure how I missed that thread. I do have an extra quart of WS and a set of those hose pinchers, so should be good.

Also doing all the other bits and bobs on the front of the engine, plus plugs and filters. I also need to remove the intake AGAIN to dig out another mouse nest. A friend told me over the weekend that moth flakes are the way to go, so I may give them a try.

I recommend a leaky valley plate. Sure you'll have to top off your coolant regularly, but trust me the mouse-sized hot tub it creates on top of the engine will take care them. ;-)

Or, breed super-mice that can’t be killed by coolant.

Pass. Those buggers already ate my knock harness, so I feel the one time ultra hot tub was fair payment for their action. I don’t need mice that will eat more

I'm on my 3rd knock harness. This one is fully double wrapped in loom then a layer of that Honda tape with the pepper flavoring. Bastids...

Maybe tape a cat to the wiring as well
