Not really. I got Impex to refund some of the money. But probably just amounts to wasting $300 in the end. Not sure my plan now. Think I may try to get the rear parts from a 100, either that or spend the coin ordering the new gear set again from a US dealer.
Thanks.

Any chance of contacting your credit card company? Or fedex cargo claim?

I order small parts from impex. They take about a month for delivery. Price is pretty good.

I’m not sure what control I have on anything. I don’t think it would be possible to have any recourse through a credit card, as I don’t think I have any type of fraud claim, and since I wasn’t the party paying for the shipping, wasn’t sure what I could do with the shipper. Adding to the confusion, I used Amex through PayPal, I’m not even sure which one claims the charge… I assume PayPal. At this point I’m just counting myself lucky that I got any kind of refund. It took a couple weeks of back and forth communication with impex to get that. I’m not saying I wouldn’t deal with them again, but I’d definitely consider the feasibility of whether the part would survive shipping. I know others have had large parts ordered through them as well.

Replacing window lower trim to dechrome, are there any screws I should watch out for or do they just pull up with a pry tool? Threads I’ve searched for show a screw on the 100 series, but I haven’t seen and detailed removal threads for 200 series / lx570

Qq, the rear center jack point is literally the bottom of the rear differential housing?

Yes, although depending on what you’re doing you can jack from the LCA mount on the axle as well

Check your owners manual for the specific locations. A member on here makes a nifty bracket to more safely jack the rear on the axle. A search will find it.

Made two bottles of olive oil (brake fluid flush) :)

Notes for newbies:
1) pour new fluid slowly so they don't gurgle and/or spill
2) when you make you own bleeder bottle, and especially using soft silicone pipe, make sure the bottle is still ventilated, or else pressure builds up
3) replace the brake bleeder cap (p/n: 31478-30010; I have to use this from autozone since dealers parts store is closed on sunday)

Obviously, I spilled the brake fluid, question is:
> is it safe to spray brake cleaner everywhere, metal, rubber, plastic?

Keep it off paint but it won't hurt anything else.

And definitely keep it out of your eyes!

Getting ready to replace all 12 (Really? 12?) heater hoses.

At 103k, go ahead and replace hose clamps too? How many different sizes are there?

Are any of the hoses damaged? Mine have 200k and are in great shape.

They all appear to be in good shape - 2014 means no T's, correct?

Wanted to do radiator and leaking water pump - figured to do hoses as well and only drain the system once.

As far as I know all US 200s had T's. Though they are sold from toyota as hose assemblies.

My T's are also pristine at 200k. Some have had them fail much earlier though.. IMO it's worth inspecting them, but not necessarily changing as PM without some investigation first.

My 2014 has T's. Replaced with metal a few years ago due to Mud paranoia but the original were in good shape

I'd like to get a RAM T-bolt track and bolt it horizontally on the dash above the glove box.
Anyone know what's up behind there? Airbags maybe?
I can take the glove box out and have a look but I thought folks here had thoughts on the possibility of doing this.

That’s the in-dash passenger airbag. It won’t go all the way to the windshield but I’m not sure exactly where the cutoff is, and more importantly you wouldn’t want to accidentally put a bolt through some important component of it. Or have any of your RAM parts turn into missiles either.

Yeaaaahhhhhh...makes sense. I was kind of assuming that the "SRS airbag" embossed on the dash was kind of noteworthy. I'll look at the area to the left of the glove box around the knee kick area. Thanks for the reply.

How would one go about getting the old cover/socket out? Not sure I can just swap doors.

The whole panel pops off, it’s only clipped in. Probably get a better idea how it’s attached by removing the panel and looking at it from behind.
