Dog or cat pee in a spray bottle all over your engine bay. That will make for a pleasant drive :hillbilly: but should keep the critters away
I hate to bite on this, but how would you collect said cat pee to put in a bottle?

You think collecting it from cats would be bad? I feel bad for the guy who has to collect coyote urine...

“It’s a little bit like fly-fishing. Just out there in the night air. Still. Calm. And then ZING! You get a big catch.”

I’ve searched and only got ‘heat seater not working’ posts… has anyone experienced a seat heater turning on even though it’s in the ‘off’ position? My driver side is turning on even though I don’t have it selected. :(

Is the seat heater actually on, or is the light erroneously illuminated? I had the latter issue remedied by replacing the switches/control unit. The fun surprise of replacing the switches was that when we connected the new unit, the light was still illuminated until I turned the switch on and off before it went back to proper operation. I replaced it over a year ago, and it's been fine since.

Interesting, I have no light on, but a hot butt

Does a 285/75/17 fit underneath in the stock spare location? If so, does it require any modification in order to do so?

Yes, no mods.

SQOD Time!

Brake light on my 2013 LC is out, and I'm not finding any "easy as 1-2-3" threads or references. Can I not just roll over to AutoZone, get a new bulb, and fix it myself like I have for all my other cars over the years?

Help or info requested please.

Jay

OK- so I have a crack in the housing and it's full of water so just going to replace the unit. Can someone verify that P/N 81561-60A70 comes with all the bulbs installed, and all I have to do is plug it in?

Thanks again!!
Jay

SQOD: How common are electrical problems on a 200 series?

A friend of mine (who is not on the forum) has a low mileage (under 20k) 2019 URJ-200 and it keeps going into Limp Home mode.

The only modification done was a OME Nitrocharger lift kit and BFG KOs
They say it randomly just had the software shutdown since they’ve owned it…
And the Toyota dealership told them: "don’t worry ‘electrical gremlins’" which seems awefully suspicious to me.

I am wondering if the truck was flooded but that wasn't reported to the VIN per CarFax.

It does sit a bit, but does get driven weekly.

If the truck is in limp mode there will be an OBD code as to indicate why. If the problem happened only after lift installation, I would determine if a zero point calibration (ZPC) was done.

Try to see what the code is before attributing to gremlins. No such thing.

Dry? Not common at all. Rain ingress? All the damn time.

The lift was installed prior to my friends purchase (they bought it just before the pandemic lock down at a porsche dealership where it was used as a trade in), so I have no idea if the ZPC was done.

Would not having had the ZPC done cause the truck to randomly go into limp home mode and require the dealership to service the truck?

Rain Ingress is a possibility, but, the car is in Utah and we did have a lot of snow this winter but the problems predated this winter.

Doubt it would.
