A coupe of questions:

1. anyone successfully integrate this BT add on module from Crutchfield?

USA Spec BT45-TOY

2. I am looking to upgrade my '08 LX570 wheels to the newer '13+ 5 spoke wheels (BTW if anyone has a set please PM me). Did it come in 2 colors: silver and hyperblack? Did Hyperblack look like this?

I had that BT module in my 100 series, and I had no complaints. Install was a breeze (if you're comfortable with opening up the dash), and it worked well.

I wasn't aware the the 13 LX wheels came in two colors, but the wheels on my 13 LX look identical to your link.
 
Dumb question: I hate having to pry off the clips just to remove the engine covers. Do you guys leave them off? I thought I was able to get away from this nonsense when I let go of my BMW.

My covers have been in the attic for two years. The engine doesn't get too dirty without them. I don't think the LCs even have them.
 
Lol, yes, we have engine covers. They are a friction fit and lift off from the front easily by hand. Or are you talking about the black plastic skirts that come up from around the aides and are heald in place with the push clips?

LC's (mine anyway) just have the center aluminum color piece directly centered.

Others have said the LX covers also help with engine noise coming into the cabin? And helps keep engine clean? YMMV

Gotcha. My 200 has a black skirt with the push clips, but it's just from the grill back to the radiator support.
 
I actually like that cover, makes a great place to set tools while working on the engine area.

Yes it does! That, and the trim around the base of the windshield.

I try to not use that space, simply because I'll forget about them. Years ago a friend left a socket wrench up there and slammed his hood, broke the windshield.
 
I hear you on that and have been a victim of forgetfulness myself. And not just there... roof, on top of windshield wipers, rear bumper... all handy places to rest things. I now have a rigorous sweep that I perform before closing the hood and again before driving away. Way too easy to become distracted. Torquing lug nuts is another big one.
 
Could turn assist be added? I would think it is really "programming"?

Sorry guys, I meant the covers that surround the engine bay. It’s actually 3 pieces: left (covers air filter), middle (covers radiator and coolant reservoir), right (covers batter).

I had to pry it off to check for crack on the radiator and air filter.

Mixelplix, were you able to advance music tracks using the steering wheel controls?

Also, anyone know the diameter and depth of the subwoofer in the rear cabin?

Need advice for loosening/tightening the front wheel bearing. Would I pop the dust cap and loosen initially with the wheel on the ground? (truck not jacked/on stands). And same for final tighten - put the wheel on the ground before applying the 251 ft/lb?

Officially I think this is the removal instructions. You likely don't have the SSTs though.

Yes, I would crack the axle hub nut loose with the wheel on the ground. FYI for reassembly you need to torque the axle hub to 148 lb/ft, then back it off, then retorque it to 251.

Thanks. I went ahead and got the bearing and hub assembly, so I am hopeful I won't have to pull the bearing from the rotor bearing assembly (edit: if a portion get's stuck on the shaft, I've got an old puller, and a hammer). Bonus: Get new hubs!

FYI my hub assembly was replaced. When the CV boots were replaced the mechanic didn't torque the axle hub right. Not sure if he didn't torque, release, retorque or if he just put an impact gun on it and that was it, but the end result was that I was getting brake rotor movement and pad runout when I would make a slow sharp turn. By the time we figured out what was wrong I'd driven enough mileage that retorquing was insufficient - the bearings were worn irregularly and the axle hub showed signs of wear too.

Moral of the story - make sure you follow the retorque procedure closely when reassembling.
