Some Limited Edition...... It looks exactly like my 2004 inside. Whatever!

it has the chrome door handles of the poverty pack 100s that are overseas, a ghey aftermarket exhaust tip, and the "bright work" trim on the bottom of the windows like the GX470s, instead of black rubber.

That's worth a premium over the other 2007 LX470s. Gosh, what was I thinking... I should have bought one.

Don't forget the Limited Edition emblems (that do look cheezy). A few sites show all the differences, but hey, they didn't change much in like 8 years, so why would you think a LE would be that much different. I just thought it was neat there are only 400 made, so it is interesting that I ran across one on the road. I'm sure someone can tell me how many 2007s were made regular.

Special Edition upgrades ran $410 on a vehicle that had an MSRP of $67,395.

At least it isn't a package that will later detract from it's resale value like a neon avocado paint scheme.

Neon Avocado paint... hmmm maybe I'll repaint that color instead...

I saw this yesterday at my local dealership while picking up parts .... and started busting up laughing
and remembering this thread.

Hurry, only 1,600 will be made!

You can't make this stuff up.

That green on the LX470s from a few years back it pretty bad. I saw a few online for sale. Good luck with that. Still think the LEs are cool and interesting that Lexus would do that for the last year.

I live in OKC. There is a man that works in my building that drives a LE. I assume it's the same one. I approached him One day and offered to buy it when he's ready to sell it. It's in incredible shape. He said he's considering a Tundra pretty soon. Im jacked about the prospect of owning it. Hope you haters take it easy on me if that day comes!

TMS/Toyota Motor Sale USA is the US marketing arm of TMC. The US office came up with these "special edition" models first with Toyota then with Lexus. If you note just about every Toyota or Lexus has a "special edition" during the last year of model production. They consist of badges, floor mats, sometimes special paint but usually not. It is a great way to move the old model out by creating a bit of special attention to a soon-to-be outdated model. They usually have extra option packages as well included. Think 1997 Land Cruiser. Camry, ES350 models in the last year of a body generation.

I scooped up a LE a year ago. It's my 2nd LX. I was looking specifically for a 2007 (last yr. body style) and found this LE in Phoenix so I bought it site unseen and had it shipped to DFW. What sold me was the black wood grain interior. I looked at my brown wood grain on my 2002 LX for long enough and I wanted a change. I still really really like the black.

Do you happen to frequent Preston Center in Dallas? I see a black special edition LX at Flying Fish from time to time

No. I live in Haslet and work in Westlake. I did work in Preston Center and liked the Flying Fish, but that was years ago when I was in the Electric Blue (or whatever it's called) 2002 LX.
I'm not a big fan of my rims, but that's what was on it when I bought it.
