Speedo in the combination meter is a no go.. Stopped working about a month ago so I checked the plastic gear on the speed sensor located in the transfer case and it looks fine.. I then took my combination meter out and replaced it with a used unit and damn speedo is still not working... Any input advice as to what it could be?

Pull, inspect and re-lube the inner cable?

Found ground on mine bad, run continuity from the sensor to the frame and see if it exists.

Hi any chance you could tell me how to get the plastic gear out of the transfer case I tried removing a few bolts but it didn't wanna slide out easily is there a trick to it or do I just need a little more force?

The sensor is located at the transfer case rear housing... There is 1 bolt you remove and pull sensor out...

Hello
Did you find out the problem?
My speedometer and clock aren't working either. I changed the speedsensor and it still doesn't work.

Many times the trip meter will jam up and cause the odometer to quit working due to the gears between trip meter and odometer are connected. Try pushing on the trip meter reset several times. If that doesn't free it up, removed the trip meter and try it without trip meter.

Try here Trip odometer stopped working
and here for help on speedo fix Trip Meter it Stops

Try cleaning VSS and electrical contacts first. Check that the plastic gear inside the transfer case looks OK. My issue ended up being the flex circuitry in the gauge cluster. Swapped a used spedo into the cluster all is good.
