This was an interesting thread. Stereo was a hobby for a while and got to add my 2 cents.
The zip cord or lamp cord in 14 ga is a good choice based on what you are using. The equipment and speakers are good but we are not at the top end. Zip cord is also marked so the speakers can be phased---same wire(the one with the rib) to the red dot on the speaker. Makes a world of difference if this is not followed.
Only thing I did not see mentioned is keeping the length of the wires the same; yes, even if you have to bunch some of it up and wire tie it.
Run a heavy ga wire from amp directly to battery--with fuse of course.

Sherwood, that is a great system you have there. Came to appreciate high quality long time ago. Got to know Paul Klipsch----those who know quality speakers will know the name. Running 5 Klipsch at present; only one is a cornerhorn.
