I already did a search. I found one reference stating to stay with stock Nippondensos and another references that Cdan had them for about $2/each

I'm going to do ignition stuff next on both of my 80s, 91 and 94. Trying to milk as much efficiency as I can out of them.

So what should I get for the 3FE?

What should I get for the 1FZE?

Platinum? 2 prong? 4 Prong? Plain ones, V groove, ????

I was thinking of the NGK V groove for the 3FE as I can get those locally, $2/each. No Nippondensos available locally so I'd have to wait to order them.

I found Nippondensos to work best in my FJ60 and I found after much experimentation with my 22RE mini that NGKs worked best. When I went to the TBI V8 in my 60 I tried Bosch Platinums but found that regular old AC Delcos worked best. Fortunately I managed to salvage one of the Bosch Platinums for my lawn mower. It has never run better.

I have Bosch platinum single prong sparks in my 3FE right now...work great.

I had NGKs in there previously and they were fine as well...switched due to availability at the time of a tune up.

I am running the bosch single prong platinums as well and they seem to be fine.
then again I replace mine every spring as maintenance.

Plain old NGKs. NAPA has them.
