Passenger door on drivers side didn't fit worth a fart so i am welding it shut.
I wanted to do it way back in the build but chickened out, turns it into a long quarter to make straight.
The other truck i seen it done on left the window frame intact, i think it looks odd.
So i am going to duplicate the rear most window frame for more of a panel look.
The other side will be left stock making my BJ60 a TRI door.

This is looking awsome... i like how you swap between sheet metal work, doing some axle tech, back and forth, i like that way of working, as long as the progress is going on.
Good idea of a tri-door!

What parts are you collecting to make the FF rear with disc-breaks? I really wanna do that conversion on my ff.

Good work, man!

TLC Norway, rear diff is made up of 60 and 80 series parts, spindles, discs and calipers are from an 80.
Filled in some more gaps from door.

Gonna do the same to the door on the other side? This is only the 2nd 60 I've seen with welded rear doors.

Nope, will be a 3 door.
Next i will remove the hinge and cap the front of the door so the jam looks normal.

Great build. What happened to the 60 rear axle with the disc conversion?

Cut out the pieces i needed from a donor truck and started fitting them in to duplicate cargo window.

Making the window frame is being made i bit harder because the donor truck has had it's roof replaced and all the pillars have been cut and fudged back together.

so your going to do a custom long glass on one side?.. with your skills how about weld in one of the 40 hard top pop out windows

No, i will have two cargo windows on the dr side.
Eventually i will put sliders in all three cargo windows.
I didn't even think about one long window, man that would have been easy.
It's not to late to explore that idea, thanks.

Thank guys.
Looks like i need to find another truck to cut out a few sections that i still need.
Anyone wrecking a truck that could cut out some sheet metal for me?

You are doing an awesome job... Been following this thread from day one. How are you planning on painting the inside of the panels to keep rust from forming from inside out?

Keep up the good work...

I have been coating everything with "Chassis Saver" matt black paint.
For the bottoms of the panels i reduced it and poured it in so it penetrates into the seams then later go ever what i can reach with a brushed on coat.
I have wasted a lot of paint but i hate rust.

Got the top of the frame fitted better so it is now tacked in.
The pieces missing are what i will need to finish.
A few more pics to give ya an idea how it will look, i think it will be worth the effort.
Would have been nice to straighten the middle pillar but way to much work.
