It's officially SAS season now. Safe travels to all heading to Ouray. If you find yourself in need of assistance along your route, please post up. SAS has family nearly everywhere in the Continental US. Help can usually be had fairly easy. See y'all on Sunday if not before.

Only a week behind those that have posted. I guarantee you are not the self imposed "lone ranger". 🎱

Looks like next week is going to be just about perfect. Most of the trails we lead have a summit above 12,000'.
I recommend rain jacket with a hood, extra jacket or hoodie to add as layers. We have encountered sleet and light snow high up on the mountain then sunny warm temps once we get back down.
Pack accordingly.

Loaded up and ready to head west. Should arrive Sunday afternoon. Plan to meet the Texas group Sunday at Classic Cruisers and head over the mountain.

Yeah it will be 99 deg here Friday. Look forward to some cool weather.

This leak is way worse now. I’m pretty bummed out but I’m not ruining a new clutch/pressure plate.

It’s Probabaly time for a full h55f rebuild. Looks like she will be shut down for awhile.
Don't throw in the towel yet Ben. Give me a shout on the phone please..
Casey..

Any folks who may not want to go on all the trail rides that would like to do some hiking?
My wife would enjoy hiking with those folks if there are any.
Possibly my wife and I

I left NC on Friday and got to Moab today for a couple days of exploring. Anyone local to Moab got time to show me around this weekend before heading to ouray? Or suggestions on a couple trails. I’m alone but hoping to find someone to ride with at the trailheads otherwise.

2k miles in and the LX is doing pretty well. Thought the pass west of Denver was gonna do us in but she pulled through.

I believe there may be another annual treck to the summit of Mt Sneffels again this year. Snow pack and weather pending obviously.

Oil and oil filter change and new spark plugs in the 60. Roof rack on and the Thule box.
HJ61 sunroof glass bubbled up and ready for delivery.
Also been trying to get my A/C working.
Tomorrow I drop her off to see if it charges.
Then top off Diff fluids and trans and transfer case.
Daughter is hitching a ride with me first leg to Las Vegas then I drop her off and head for Joseph Utah.
Going to meet @joesfj40 in Utah. Sunday evening.

Maybe someday the rest of Harumi will get to go to SAS, not just her bits and pieces!

Anyone have a spare Lokar S-1034 throttle cable to carb fitting they can bring to SAS for my Sniper carb? Messed mine up tonight trying to fine tune the length of the linkage (don’t ask how...😩). I think I can rig the current versionenough to still get me to Ouray, but not confident enough to use it on the trails. Have not been able to source one locally yet, and can’t get one overnighted to arrive until possibly Sat afternoon at the earliest and hoping to leave already early Sat a.m. More than happy to pay for time, mileage, etc.

PM me Thxs
