Great to see familiar faces and put some new faces to familiar names!

Left yesterday am, drove over to the Gunnison and landed a couple nice trout. Currently in Illinois somewhere. Linking a hastily/sloppily put togtrhert video of the shots I took. My 60 seems to be running quite smooth even though it is missing the pillow in the engine compartment....

We made it back last nite, which left enough time to scoop the other co-pilot:

Overall a massively successful trip. Glad to have met all the new people and great to see the old friends.

Shook a few things that need attention out of the rig but overall was happy with it.

Landed in Northern Michigan. Lost A/C an hour south. Did not report that last night I stumbled upon Geneseo Illinois. And “The Cellar” -a steakhouse in the basement of a 100+ year old building in a town of 4500 folks. It won best steakhouse in Illinois beating out a number of big name Chicago chop houses just a couple years ago. I smelled like 8 days of road time/camping and got a seat at the bar. Ordered a Rusty Nail in honor of LandCrusher. Did not realize it was scotch and drambuie. Freaking horrible. But, I tipped it back and finished it as a toast to Justin and Rob. Then I ordered another. It was just as bad…

Just got home. You never know where life adventures will take you. Left early Friday morning and just really didn’t wanna head back to Amarillo yet. So I made a trek up to Rapid City South Dakota to see my daughter. Oh and it’s Sturgis week that was awesome also I’ll add some more pics later
