I’ve owned blue for last 9 years or so. Had tons of fun driving and working on her but just don’t do much with her anymore.

1982 fj40 with 127,700 miles
Before moving to Colorado little over 7 years ago I replaced brakes, rotors and pads. Rebuilt front knuckles and seals at same time. Installed 2.5” OME lift. Had top painted professionally painted with liner to match the powder coated wheels. It has 5 like new 33x10.5 BFG At’s. The exterior was repainted prior to my owning her and it does have some peeling on upper edge.

It does not have power steering. I do believe it is starting to develop small exhaust manifold leak. Occasionally has small drop of oil under her behind the engine. There is also small hole in the pipe towards the end where it had been welded to bracket. Radio doesn't want to turn on but i bet something simple like fuse. speakers in doors could use better wiring then I did. I have included pics of the rust in the bed area. Floors are solid.

I’ve always stored her during the winter inside the hangar and last 2 years in a heated garage. It has definitely been a fair weather only driver. I can get additional photos tomorrow of the engine bay and underside and send those to any interested parties.

serious inquires only please.

Will be sad to see her go... “Blue” is truly a top shelf cruiser in our small Steamboat town which features many unique cruisers. A gem amongst gems i’d say... good luck in finding her a new home Jon!!

Ash as we have talked many times about selling her it’s time to let someone else enjoy her. Definitely a sad side to selling “blue”. When that right troopy comes up I bet we will get another. Can’t have too many cars can ya!!! Lol

Yeah went pretty fast as I expected it would to nice home, now if I don't sell the nice 78 project i will still have a 40 in the garage.

Ahhhhhh..... My condolences! ☹️

Rear drum was rubbing and e-brake needed attention. Exhaust hangers as well. There are a number of items that need to be done. I just dropped her off at the body shop. The rust in the bed and other areas will be cut out and new metal welded in. I will take every effort to preserve as much original paint as possible. On track to spend a considerable sum to her the best she can be.

Sad to see this getting flipped. Would have been cool to see a mudder have a great deal. Awesome truck!

Where'd ya see it getting flipped?
