good points there felix. was wonderin about the vulnerability of these tops with jackasses with knives that have nothing better to do. best bang for your buck, bestop.

i heard from somewhere that a US place made a similar top to ehsans??

anyway, does anyone have a shot of the bows in the inside with ehsan tops?

I like my Bestop Supertop....It doesnt look as hideous as some I've seen....Not too Jeepy either imo....could just be the sharp black/white contrast though.....

Here's a link to my supertop install...

I never run a top on mine during the summer. Unless I take it to an event were the weather could change.

the other issue is the paki top requires the OEM tiedowns for the top. Which is a PIA IMO. The benifit of a soft top is you can take it off, with the paki/oem top you have to take it off at home and hope the weather holds. Atleast with the super top (while not the best looking) you can fold it or put it back up if it gets ugly.

the only thing i dont know, and maybe someone who has the top can comment, with the Supertop, do you have to remove the tracks to put the hard top back on???

Yes. They bolt into the same captured nuts that the hard top sides do.

i agree with you about the footmans loops. I wish i didnt have to drill into my tub to put them on.

Really, that is a good looking top. How did you make the door post piece? Using an old hard top piece?
Pics man of the bows!
Yeah mate, my canopy was shot with rust so I just cut the old door sections off & used them. Also my top doesn't fold down but I didn't want it to, because I wanted a bit of protection for the kids from our stinking hot Aussie sun so when we are out & about I just roll the side & back up.

Croozy, while I realize this may be somewhat unrelated to the current topic, I was wondering if you could post some pictures of your custom bows for your soft top. I am thinking of doing this myself and was just looking for some additional ideas

so, it sounds like if I'm going to meet the :princess:'s desires (top down), and my needs (easy to put up, take down), the only off the shelf option is bestop.

It looks like SOR has Tiger Tops on clearance because they're being discontinued, but I don't think I want to punch that many new holes in my rig (snaps). The supertop looks like the one. I agree with some of the opinions here that it's not the greatest looking (too heepy), but then again, if I cared about how it looked I wouldn't have a calico & rust paint scheme, would I?

So, a quick search based on bestops' "where to buy" list nets a top and doors for ~ $980.... Not bad!
