Again, while my carb is out with jim C
I am addressing vac leaks coming from headers (bought remflex gasket) - bec one I took off what chewed up. Anyways sealing my vacs leaks.

& putting my “brand new” intake exhaust from cruiser parts (re-machined).. lol
But it looks great. So my issue is that one of the vac connects thread line is too large?? It was sold to me as 76/77 intake exhaust so can I just buy the vac connect with smaller diameter same threads? Anyone know where I could find that I’ve been search (but havnt reached out to $$$$$$SOR$$$$$$$ yet

I have nothing in red last picture. The stuff in yellow first picture I have nothing that looks like item on left but I think I have the unit on the right somewhere.

Adapting fitting for vacuum service - good glue, solder will work fine. Cut fitting off flush, drill the hole out pound in a pipe section or copper tubing for larger adaption. Tap the hole for a bolt, then drill the bolt for smaller tubing.

Have you ask the carb guy - they likely have a bucket of adapters.

There's a few ways to do it but if you want it original, you need the 3/8-19 vacuum fitting. Used is easiest, see pic below. I'd have to dig around for the new oem part number - I don't have it handy.....I might even have the fitting at home.

Another option is the vacuum plug by cylinder 6. 2F shifted the brake booster vacuum to this port in '77 until EOL. This requires rerouting your booster vacuum line. 90404-51031, note there are a few versions that are tall, short and have a larger hex for a wrench. The number I provided is the commonly used item.

Here's a bad picture of the later port - you can see the casting port of the early hole is filled.

You could try Brandon over at Classic Cruisers in Salida Colorado. He has a yard with tons of 40’s and I would bet he has the parts you need. He’s always been able to source anything I’ve been missing on my 1975 40 and mailed it out to me in Hawaii. Worth a shot to reach out to them.

Contact info? Couldn’t find…should I be googling this or Ih8mud-ing ID-ing him with PM?

Just to chime in on the manifold and headers, save yourself some time and make sure to measure the depth of the manifold and header ears at each shared bolt location before mounting. They need to be the same, IIRC from many years ago Jim C indicated no more that ten one thousands of an inch. The issue if they are different is that you will not apply torque evenly when assembling which can result in a vacuum leak.

I purchased heavy flat washers locally and filed half the washer at each location to get the assembled depth exact, then used a sharpie on the opposite side to mark the filed half for assembly. I also added three OEM studs (5 total) that made assembly easier. OEM gasket, dry & torqued to spec and mine has been perfect for over a decade.

To be completely clear so everyone is in same page. I think

I purchased this (pic one)

Now that am actually switching out the port holes are same vs original intake there are different diameter port holes. (As pictured)

Just trying to source the smaller diameter vac plug like mentioned by @mattressking in post 3
