So how many here have actually gone Parabolic?

Any updates??? I find it amazing there aren't several mudders who haven't already put on parabolics.

the fronts are sitting in my room right now. just need the motivation to put them on... or maybe a day without a hangover...

I have been thinking about this too... Just concerned that the rear won't be able to hold the weight... But from what I'm reading, even when heavily loaded, I should be o.k.?

Sounds good tho.

Just got off the phone with MAF, and yes the are dumping the Line and blowing out their inventory. $1000 for everything! thats a sweet price.

I called, they quoted me $1600 for everything for a FJ60. Maybe I should've used my female voice...

i put the springs in and they are sweet! less body roll and smoother than my old springs. the flex is deff better too

i like em

Cool. Did you order the 2 or 3 leaf version? How much actual lift did it give you? Ideally, I would like a set that lifts 2 inches or less. Pics would be great and thanks for being the guinea pig!

2 leaf front springs.

i really dont know how much lift they actually give. i already had lift springs on the truck before i put these on and i already had lift shackles on too. it seems like they give more lift than my other lift springs.

the shackles seem pretty straight up and down. im sure as the springs settle some the will move forward some but since the parabolics ride so smooth a shackle angle like this is not a problem. if i had stock length shackles i would recommend anti inversion shackles.

the springs were easy to install. when i installed them i put some 2.5 degree shims in at the same time since i have longer than stock shackles. seems to drive great

here are a couple pics

I think that Im going to pass on this, wasnt there some guy on the east coast that was making springs for 5-600?

Tom Laher from Laher Spring Co. (Hell Creek Suspensions). VERY nice guy who knows his stuff. I think he's finally done tuning the FJ6x's. Ive got his J Truck kit, and its great.
I WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN FROM MAN-A-FRE. Especially since they got slapped for thier dealings with numerous people by ARB/OME. Lond story short they were screwing people royaly.
They proved incompetent, deceptive, and indifferent. Customer service is their last concern.

yeah man-a-fre's shipping was stupid expensive

man those look funky:eek:

Those springs look really short, i can see those inverting like crazy.

vertical shackles

i'm not to happy about seeing a shackle, specially fronts to be in a vertical position it seem to defeat the purpose of having a shackle.just an opinion .

actually the shackle angle works out really well for these springs

i flexed it out and the springs compress like crazy and the shackle moves way forward. it is really a non issue. they didnt look like they were going to invert at all even at full droop

Then the next question is why didn't you order a pair for the rear of your truck?

because my rear lift springs work great. there is no reason to spend even more money when my rear springs work perfectly fine.

Any updates? none of you pussies (besides tclndcrz ) have done this yet? Youre gonna make me be the guinea pig?:)

Can you get these with 3 leafs instead of 2 for a 60? I may have overlooked it at the website, but I didn't see prices for anything but the 2 leafs?

hey i've been talking to a place in western australia that has been making parabolics for J6*s for a while, they quoted me $1758 which includes springs u-bolts, greasable shackles, pins and bushes.(not shocks cos i already have new ones. oh and thats plus shipping.

it seems a bit steep.

oh and their website if anyone wants it is westraliasprings.com.au
