Snow Run: Super Bowl Sunday

Had 8 vehicles out today. Fun run, but no snow. A few deadfalls to clear off the trail and lots of firewood laying around - permit time? Log run next? No snow until 8300ft or so, and even then, just the trail and shaded spots. Scary.

It was good times yesterday. Hopefully we'll get to do it again after the incoming snow storm. It was disconcerting to see all that firewood laying on the forest floor, ripe for a wild fire.

We aired down at the exit of Paliza canyon trail, on FR-10. From there we went up FR-266 and had lunch at on a side trail. We backtracked back to FR-10 and was hoping to go to the lookout tower at Cerro del Pino. However, the gate on FR-10 locked so we aired up and headed home.

That would be a nice trail if we get some snow. Plenty of options and choices for routes. I wouldn't mind exploring up there on the mountain bike.

Who was in the Taco and the pickup?

The Taco is Chris and Lisa. Pretty nice pickup, complete with supercharger, longrange tank, 13 gallon onboard water and custom topper.

The blue pickup belongs to Alex Bingham, the son of James and Linda Bingham.
