SM465 output replacement (1 Viewer)

How difficult is it to change the output shaft on an SM465? Any links to tech articles? I've got a 465 with a bad output shaft and one with a broken mount tab, so I want to make one good tranny out of the two.

It is difficult enough that I would just go with the one with 3 tabs. I would guess about 2 hours of labor for an experienced mechanic with both trannys out.

Its not too bad.But you do need a special bearing puller to pull the two bearings at the rear of the case to get it apart it.And it needs to be half way in reverse to get the top cover off.
