Are you using Toyota slave cylinder or the original Chevy setup? I think im leaning toward this over the 400.

I bought my 40 about 3 1/2 years ago. Last week the clutch slave started leaking. Got about 4 miles from home and no more clutch pressure left. Luckily no red stop lights, and was able to roll around corners. Went looking for a slave kit, but couldn't find the right slave to match up with mine. The auto parts store did a lot of cross referencing and measuring the inside of the slave and said it was 13/16". I installed the kit and no problems. Since all this happened, I've seen pic's and found out that the guy that did the 350 engine and 465 tranny swap used the original Toyota clutch slave. Outside of having to put in a new kit, it's never been any kind of performance problem.

Mine is on the passengers side.....how about yours. and is the 4spd case stronger than the 3spd
