Wow! There is literally too much ugly to take in at a single time.hey patrick-- a tow rig for ya!!
so what's next Patrick? You were complaining of it being tippy, time to pull a leaf from the spring pack and throw some 1.5" wheel spacers on there?
or you could french the spring perches into the frame and shim the axle a little if needed.
Ya gotta take a pge from the hardcore guys to make this happen. Lowering mini trucks on Pirate was all the rage a few years back and there were all kinds of ideas thrown out there.
for example: there's a extremely built 3rd gen on 49s that sits right at 25" to the frame, I think mine is about 24"+/- on 37sf or reference.
For the NON-shackled end of the springs:
One of the ways the Pirate guys used to do it was to cut into the frame and then french the hanger into the frame as shown in the pic down below. I've seen different variations of this but you get the idea.
The shackled end
On yours... if I remember the front spring shackle mount is welded to the underside of the frame, there's no good reason that I know of to do this and it only raises the rig. If so, remove that POS and cut and sleeve the frame to accept the shackles. You'll loose a couple inches at least doing this.
edit 2: Read till your heart bleeds, all the ideas you can handle:

Don't know if I'd do any mods to my truck that had "french" in the name. What's next - put a Citroen hydro-lift and some Renault 3 bolt hubs on it? Yes, I meant to say bolt, not stud.
Ha, YES absolutely if it works!!! You're the only "stud" on here or so I've been told.![]()
