They ol' toyota we had with the 5 speed had a crazy tilt like that. I would assume its correct. If it shifts fine, and seems to be in a place your comfortable with, i would leave it.

You're a craftsman, Ron. The pig is looking great!

Thanks Guys! I think it will be fine, I've always been a stick guy and never seen one like that.

It's nice to have one more thing off the list. It took me an hour to decide what tubing to use for the transfer case vent and I'm still not sure where I'm running it to, other than up. :)

How tall are you, Ron?

No issues with it being a knee banger?

Just curious. I can't seem to get a layout of seat, seat belt, steering wheel that feels remotely comfortable (some mocked up, some perceived) and hadn't even considered the shifter.

The current seats are too far outside and it feels odd being slightly offset the steering wheel, yet unsure how far in I could move in before that'd be constantly caressing my knee.....hmmm, maybe that ain't a bad thing, since no one else is. Haha.

Maybe headed back to a bench, after all. Haha.

At my prime 6' 1", now sadly right at 6'. I can hear my kids laughing as I type this.

I need to buy my seats and steering wheel, so I can play with mounting the rear heater. Man, it's all connected.

Got the door hinge lands all replated with 16 gauge sheet. Something I wasn't planning on, but glad it was brought up. Hopefully I won't have to deal with them again.

The doors will be the first things to be painted, so I wanted them ready.

Travis,

I need to buy one. I thought I had one coming, but it fell through.

Looking for a perfect stock one with the blue T in the pad.

I've got a pretty nice one with the peppermint center if you're interested.

Travis,

Thanks for the offer, but seeing the blue ones, I like them alittle better.

Delancy,

I talked to him before I got involved with this current one, but now maybe I'll PM him again. He has some nice ones.

Awhile ago I posted one of the door handles and hardware. The spring was rusted up bad and I couldn't get the little plastic bushing off the handle without breaking it.

Well, I cut the plastic tip off and got everything plated, so now I have to decide how to fix the bushing problem. Since we have been in the brass door hinge mode, I thought I'd try brass for the door handle.

The brass bushing needs the OD reduced alittle and I don't have a lathe in the shop, so working on it my way.

I'll need to come up with a C clip to hold it all together.

here's some pictures

Pulled out my stash of floor mats. They need some cleaning up, but darn near perfect.

One hole in the pass. side front mat, no idea why someone would cut a hole there. ( middle of picture )

Small update, but I ran into a snag. I've been doing alot of little things and decided to put in my steering shaft, so before I have the shaft powder coated, thought I'd dry fit it. Not happening, it hits the fender well. I hate to go cutting on it, if I don't have to.

In times like this, I step back and drink a beer, then ask you guys. Should I cut, hit with BFH or ?

Anyway, waiting on another SS flex line and I can finish the brake lines.

I've been putting it off, but need to start buying some big ticket items, AC parts, radiator, seats, shocks , driveshafts and on and on :bang: You know the feeling!

Grab a pipe and find some way to clamp it into the fender well with the female version of the pipe behind the fender well to support it. This would slowly make a depression the right shape that would look uniform and intentional. You wound need to remove the fender well to do it but it would look good and hopefully would not damage your countless coats of goodness.

simple is usually right... 1973 fj55

Napster,

I've been thinking along those lines of some kind of controled pressure on the offending area, but I do not like to think about removing the doghouse, in order to fix this.

Maybe another beer!

Thanks Man for helping me think.
