Delancy,

I just went out and looked it over again, I believe you're right. I've got an old hydro. power pack, combined with Napster's idea, maybe I can put a pretty dent in it.

You're right, it doesn't need much!

Well, I'm waiting until tomorrow, now. It's funny how two beers and I'm a genius, have one more and wham!, I'm stupid. :)

Thanks guys, alot to think about. We'll get it.

I would like to thank Napster, for giving me the idea that solved my dilemma. I had an old c clamp, that I welded some angle iron to, useing it for the die and a socket for the punch. worked perfect, I now have @ 3/8 inch clearance all the way around. Hard to see in the picture, but it has pently of room to turn.

very little marking on the Monstaliner, that stuff is tuff!

On to the next headache.

I was just about to suggest a large C clamp;) carry on:cheers:

Guppie,

That's usually how I deal with things, but I'm trying to take some time with this project. We'll see how I hold up!

yes, until you run into something like this shaft situ...goes with the turf; the cost of resto mod. sooooo much foresight, but with all the deets, it's hard to keep up with everything. there's always going to be something to recon with the first few times;)
that's what makes this site so

Lambcrusher is right, I tried to think of alot before painting and coating, but sometimes you just need a crowbar.

I know the hotrod and custom guys will build the whole car, then take it apart and paint. I'm running out of time, for all that.

On your 72, I think it will be easier to paint, then bolt everything on. You won't be modifing too much. On mine, I'm still not sure if everything has been thought of.

I've been talking to Lil' John about radiators and the mounting brackets, lines, etc. will have to be made. Most of that stuff can be fastened with bolts and rivnuts. I did have to weld a bracket to the frame, for the brake lines. Don't like to do that, at least it was painted and not powder coated.

Wait a mintue... What was your question again? :)

I would certainly give it some thought and alot of pictures, then decide what you're going to use, on the firewall. Weld up and grind off any unused stuff then paint and coat. A/C and heater ducts were a biggy for me. I'm useing aftermarket and welded it all up. Cleaned the wall up nice.

Later on, I went back and welded some holes closed.

I need some opinions or insight on seat coverings. I'm buying Corbeau seats and have several options on seat materials.

I don't want cloth, for sure, thinking either leather or neophrene.

Anybody have thoughts on neophrene. How does it hold up, clean up, etc.

Thanks guys, I'm clueless on this, been a vinyl guy my whole life, wouldn't mind something nicer.

I'm not going to make any guesses here, but speaking from my experience and non-narrow rear I'd go with another seat unless you're real skinny :( Having said that, a local guy had some tan vinyl buckets from them that looked nice. Neoprene causes an unbearably sweaty arse -

Tucker,

Would the leather breathe better than the neophrene.

I should fit in them, just worried about my back. They have an adjustable lumbar, that I hope works.
