Thanks jasonbraswell. Pa in law provided needed assistance and beverages. Here's mud in your eye: Both us us, literally. I knew better from t bar cranking but still have not learned the value of goggles. Now to find someone with header install skills...

That's Pa in law and his gx on the left. Project worthy truck also. Thanks to all who provided slider motivation. I am sinking deeper...tires are next funds permitting.

Thanks to badlander for the floor jack and 2x4 technique. It made it easy to do my slider install solo.

Sorry to drag up an old thread but I am having issues installing my MT sliders on my 03 LC. This seemed like the most appropriate place to ask.

The issue is the top of the plate that the ubolts go through was initially hitting the underbody. Even after loosening everything up and trying to space it as much as possible it is still very close to the underbody. No matter what I do I cannot get more than 1/16"- 3/32" of clearance on the front and middle ds mounts and 3/32" on the front ps mount. The other mounts have slightly more clearance. I was trying for 1/4" minimum at all mounts.

This is definitely within the amount the body bushing will compress so I will get contact. Today I was taking a somewhat faster left turn into a driveway (trying to beat a red light) and when I hit the small water drainage dip I felt contact.

Anyone else experience this?

I remember the first version had clearance issues. I thought they would've fixed it by now. You will need to cut/trim that part of the slider mount.

I took a BFH to my under body to get my metal techs to fit in one or two places. Nice and tight with no rattles.

Not my idea of an acceptable solution. I sent an email to MT so we'll see what they say.

I had a similar issue. No biggy, a couple minutes with a grinder and some touch up paint = problem solved.

Same here. I posted pics sonewhere. Had to grind a bit off the top of two of the mounting brackets.
