I'm needing to replace bushings on some old-ish Skyjacker springs. Their website does not show any for a '77 40. Stock bushings are too small. (I measured 0.96" dia...…...and the old Skyjacker bushings appear to be between 1.03" and 1.06" diameter.

Does anyone carry poly bushings for Skyjacker springs?

thanks

Spector off road has a bushing chart with different sizes. It's laid out pretty nice, ID/OD.

That's where I scored all of mine from.

Do it the old school way, pick up the phone and call Skyjacker. They are good people and should be able to get you what you want. Most company's do not have everything on the website. Good luck.

Or try to find an Energy Suspension chart to check. I only bring this up because Energy makes black poly bushings that are graphite impregnated, not only are they impregnated with lubricant, but they also have inhibitors that will allow additional lubricants, which most bushings do not have. Most colored spring bushing (without inhibitors) will absorb lubricants, then self destruct over time, they turn soft and mushy. I'm not trying to be an Energy salesman, I just know this stuff from having sourced from them during Downey's 39 year run.

Update:
Neither Spector nor Energy Suspension had the correct OD bushings for Skyjacker springs. I called Skyjacker. They gave me a part number and said I would have to go to a distributor to purchase them. I had read that Daystar supplies bushings for Skyjacker so I called them. They were very helpful and confirmed they do supply these to SJ (and were somewhat surprised Skyjacker wouldn't sell me the bushings directly, being an end user). They too said I needed to go to a distributor. I ended up placing an order with 4WP who shoed them in stock. Hoping they are what I need.

FYI - The part number is SE40L. Skyjacker said one PN will do two springs so you need (2) PNs SE40L for front and rear. Since I have the older Conferr shackles I believe I'll need to increase the ID of shackle bushings for a 5/8" bolt.

Further Update
I received the Skyjacker bushings from 4WP. I expected them to be the red ones but they are black and somewhat softer than the Energy Suspension bushings I had already purchased. They are the correct OD to fit my SJ springs.
Just working on the rear springs for now - working from the rear perch forward: I have black Energy Suspension bushings in the rear shackle perch. I had to enlarge the ID due to my old Conferr "H" shackles using 5/8" bolts. Next I have the SJ bushings in the rear spring eyes. I also had to enlarge the ID - same reason. The SJ flanges are much thicker than the ES flanges. They need 1/16" taken off to make them the same as the ES flange thickness. Even though I ended-up cutting out the bridge piece on the Conferr shackles they would not be parallel if I didn't cut down the SJ flange thickness to match the ES flange.

In the front spring eye I have the SJ bushings that already have the correct ID for the 15mm pins. The flanges on the SJ bushings are too thick to fit between the ears of the front perch so I'll need to take off about 1/16" off each flange face, basically same as at the rear shackle.

To enlarge the bushing ID to fit the 5/8" bolts I used a key seat cutter in a lathe. It was interesting - to me anyway - when I turned the Energy Suspension IDs they produced a long, one-piece "tube" of swarf. You can see it in the first pic. (I removed the bushing from the chuck when I was about 95% through just to check progress.) When I cut the SJ IDs they produced a powdery swarf - second pic.

I discovered over 30 years ago how problematic fixed gusset shackles were. But it took me 15 years to design the solution: Mark’s Off Road Double Duty adjustable-gusset shackles. ;)
