Size of Fj60 dome light? (2 Viewers)

I tried searching but couldn't find anything specific. Does anyone know the length of the light bulb (in mm) for the dome light and cargo area light bulbs on a FJ60?

Looking to upgrade to LEDs. Thanks

I am seeing 30.99mm on superbrightleds website for a DE3175 (dome light) replacement LED.

And for the cargo light I am seeing 43.2mm for the 6451 LED which cross-references the "original" DE3425

If you want to get them from superbrightleds.com, these work well. I have them installed. Nice warm color like the incandescent bulb. Much brighter and lower amp draw than the incandescent bulbs. Some guys have used the bigger bulbs but it requires jamming and bending the connectors in the lamp. Cooler white is available too.

Edit: Output, in the link you gave,when I click on the 6415 item, it comes up as 6418. Do you know what's up with that ?

I've got the 6451 Festoon light in the cargo area and the 3710 in the dome, and it's quite a noticeable difference. No real fitment issues that I recall. Definitely worth doing.

Since we're on the led thread, I also replaced the dash gauge lights with green led's, and what a difference that made. Also well worth doing. The gauges really glow now.

do these dome lights come on a red color..? I got the while leds, but the color it's blinding... My arb map light in red is much much kind on my eyes...

I just replaced my dome light bulb with a Sylvania DE3175 and it did not come on. I checked to see if its getting juice and it sure is. What the heck am I doing wrong here? Do I need to install something else to make the LED bulb work?

LEDs only work in one direction. So, you might have the polarity wrong. Did you try turning it around?

anyyone have a report on the red versions? I’m about to buy and wonder if the white will be too bright.

I just got one off Rockauto when I was ordering some other parts. Light pops in the stock holder and it’s brighter than stock. Though it’s more in the 5000k light range so it’s a lot whiter than stock. I think if I can find one down in the 3000k region I’ll like it better. This one makes it feel like the Dr’s office waiting room.
