Single-row LED light bar install for OEM LX470 bumper (2003+)? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone played around with installing a single-row LED light bar into the OEM bumper?

On the 2003+ LX470, the lower bumper opening looks like a good spot to fit one of these in.

Many companies make these lights and they range in different sizes, ie. 30" all the way up to 60"+ and have either straight shape or a slight curve.

Here's a quick Photoshop I did too see how it would look (assuming you can stuff one of these in there).

What do you guys think? Is this even realistic?

Piles of them on Ebay, straight from China. Various widths available, quick look shows the height to be 41mm, not sure what the space in the bumper measures.

So far the thinnest I have found 1.45" in height, now to measure the available opening.

EDIT- Available opening is 1-5/8" but only ~2" of available depth before the main structural beam is in the way. Sticking out that far might look ghetto, thoughts?

85mm depth, so they'd stick out a little more than an inch. Too bad they wouldn't sit flush or recessed.

They have a 37" bar, but I cant find the super small version in a curved bar

The 03-07 LX470 bumper is different. We need one that goes in the lower slot.

For me being from AZ I didnt want to block air flow to the cooling system.

Cool that you took the time. Be aware you only have ~2" from the front to the metal structural part of the bumper.

Can you share the link to the ebay fixture you found?
