Idk i could probably reshim but i never had leaks with 27 spline birfs and marlin hd seals. If the right side is chewed, I'll actually take a pic. My OG 30 spline Longs didn't rub. The RCVs are a bit bigger i guess.

No noise. I thought i even cycled them when i installed. I had inner axle seal leak. It had gotten significantly worse after the last two rides. I HATE leaks and it was starting to really make a mess.
I think next time i service the birfs im going to go back to the high end amsoil grease instead of their "specific" bullpoop. RCVs grease is super light and lame. It probably works killer with the cvs that use the boot. Ive had really good luck with the Ams,. It seems to be alot more tolerant to gear lube invasion. Also RCV does note the housing may need clarenced but i just figured my Longs were the same as the new RCVs.

What's in the box? MORE LIGHTS! It's now a strange addiction...

Glad to hear it was just a leak. I will think about the Amsoil when I get into it next time... Considering I worked on the thing for 8 days last year and wheeled it for 3 that could be a decade or more.... I was not impressed with the grease in the birfs, but figured they know more than I do...

OK.....not to break things up but I have a Lexus question. Besides the obvious price is there really much difference between a $50 O2 sensor and a $240 one...?? Rockauto separates them in 2 groups "economy" and "Daily driver" which this 2008 RX350 is. I don't mind paying a little more for something actually better quality but can't afford to waste $$ unnecessarily. ??? Your thoughts appreciated........sarcasm and witty charm too!:flipoff2:

I notice some of them say "validated".....?? Does that mean Master Chin Lee uses them too?!

No sure about the rx, but on the 80, denso is the only reliable brand at an ok price, most the other like bocshe etc will throw codes.

There are Denso versions listed for it and along with Bosch I would tend to lean towards those too. I like that Rockauto includes decent pics for comparison.

The price difference is that one is an air/fuel ratio sensor and one is an oxygen sensor. They're two totally different pieces. I would assume an 08 RX should have an A/F Ratio sensor as pre cat sensors

You are correct. I just had the Bank 2 sensor 1 replaced by a shop. I assume with 129k miles the others will start "failing" so I need to stay on top of these as they go, or maybe before. So Air/fuel upstream....O2 downstream...?

Just found a great video on the diff, wide vs narrow.
