Is there a simple, easy to rebuild, readily available at a junkyard carb that I can throw on my 72 FJ40 with a 75 2F engine so that I can get my damned snow plowed? Don't care about economy or lots of power. Just something that runs without loading up and stalling. Something that starts well. And, of course, I don't care about emissions. Would prefer something with the least emission complexity.

I just found out I can get a new carb on Amazon for a little more than a hundred bucks... Any reason not to go for that?
A carb is a carb in a general sense. You can either rebuild the one you have or any carb off say a 250 CC to 4.3 liter should work somewhat. It wont be perfect but better than nothing.
Any used carb is probably going to need a rebuild. Rebuild kits are cheap and you can usually find a good used carb needing a rebuild under $100
