Wow, awesome pics! It looks farkin cold, but i'd love to get down to the snow one day. As for the pringle tin welding mask, haha thats some good ingenuity! :lol:
 
The $325 quote from Repco had no stock, cant get them anymore.

Called up power brakes, had a brand new on on the shelf, $210 delivered in this arvos post.
Lots of other Toyota master cylinders will fit quite happily. The bolt pattern is common, the cylinder bore diameter is common.

The thing I found was that other 70 brake masters will bolt up to the firewall but the brake lines on the 74 attach to the master on the opposite side to other 70 series.

Glad they could help u out hulsty.

Any word on the the long range tank mate?

Treps are 37'' Stickys, not mine unfortunately.

Radd, as Boogie said, they brake lines bolt up in a different orientation to the other master cylinders, I could change the lines, alot more work and $$ then and they would then be closer to the turbo.

Boogie, still got the tank, just havent been home on the weekends. Up at Ballarat this weekend.
 

Haha, I think you need to chop and tub the guards, or give it some more lift, to fit those!!!

What size are the 'real' tyres on it, behind the Treps? Wondering how much more clearance there would be if they were actually fitted to your car.
 
In that pick the 33''s are on it, so image it ~2'' higher. Might bolt it on next time I go over there.

To get them to fit I would probably have to chop the outer guard out. I currently run 35'' pedes and a mate 36'' pedes with no issues.
 
Recent forecast was lots of rain, so a few of us decided to head out. Since there has been major flooding state wide, breaking the drought!

This crossing is normally a small creek ~4ft wide and only a few inches deep.

Most of the lower tracks had turned into rivers with some serious amounts of water flowing down them.

Good mate , tell me more about the turbo , bolt straight on ? Different size
 
Got a CT26-T25 adaptor for it, need to make a dump pipe flange and new hose fittings.

Turbo is smaller than the stock CT26 (which is about 1HD sized anyway) should give me 15psi fairly early in the rpm range I hope but by about 3000rpm it will be done, which is fine I rarely go over 3000rpm. Its a journal bearing turbo but has a 360 degree thrust bearing which is good.

It is
Turbine A/R .54
Compressor A/R .48
 
Very nice mate , is there something wrong with your turbo ATM or trbo size , how's the intercooling thoughts going , I'm a big fan of turbod cruisers :D

Nothing wrong with the stock turbo, just I always find myself caught below 2000rpm with stuff all boost and it struggles to build while EGT's go through the roof. Intercooling is similar to what I post above, water to air, gotta put in the radiator though. Might start that on monday I got a RDO
