Have you catered for engine torque twist? I needed atleast 1" of room around my engine/intercooler and body/bonnet. Im running buggy engine mounts too...

Went away for the long Cup Weekend, it rained and rained and rained. The valley we were in was sealed off my multiple rivers on all exits, the rivers all rose over 1m. These are the smaller crossings.

Just a quick update, I have wound up the fuel on the car and a little more boost and it goes MUCH better.

Unfortunately on a recent hard trip did some panel damage too and toasted my sliders. Driveshafts are a little worse for wear too, but it was a GREAT trip.

I am preparing the car for another 2 week Tasmania trip with the boys. I have further adjusted the fuel and boost on the car, 19psi and about 2.75 turns from factory fuel settings and a tweak of the guide bushing in the pump. Car runs very well and get about 600km to 75L on 33''s driving around town.

I have also changed the rear springs as I will be carrying alot of weight. Now I have 11 leaf rear packs including a big thick over load leaf.

Up front I fabbed up some brackets and fitted a front sway bar. I have lost about 3/4'' compression and 3/4'' droop suspension travel which I dont think is to bad a compromise for the much less body roll. The addition of 2 degree castor plates has also added weight to the steering and made to more sure footed.

Adding the front sway has also force the rear suspension to flex more, so overall I dont think I will have really lost anything by adding a front sway bar.

Not to sure on the effect of the intercooler on its own, I went from pretty much stock to, 19psi, intercooled and wound up fuel all in one hit and its goes significantly better than it did. Nearly on par with my dads 1VD 79 series. I do notice that EGTS will raise to ~620-640C then only slowly creep up from there and that the intercooler radiator inlet is warm to the touch.

jesus. is there a calculation on what you should be running with the size of your intercooler to give you a better idea on how your tuning your 13b-t?

There would be, but I didnt use them as this one came of a mild TD42 and was cheeeaaaapppp!!! Probably a little on the small side though.

Tuning wise I have nearly 3 turns on the max fuel setting and I have wound up the guide bushing too. Daily driving on 33''s I get 630kms to 75L

Here are the specs of it.

Just got back from another two week expeditoin trip around tasmania, we did about 2000km, mixture of tar, dirt roads, tracks and beaches/dunes! The middy gave virtually no trouble, everyone else has various issues though. In no particular order, photos!
