You would have to ask the guy who did the restore 9yrs ago. I'm kinda green is this not acceptable?

Not as desireable as a suspension lift. I was currious because I don't often see body lifts on a 40.

There are a lot of '40s running 1 and 2 inch body lifts. A low lift like that has few complications and creates a bit of room for tires easily and inexpensively. It is often an as good or better solution than modifications to the suspension.

This is what I have right now, as I just bought it. I'm really not liking the taillights, but I have no problem with the bumper.

Does version 3 have a way to remove the upper rack for when you don't need all of the storage?

Version 1 was ok, but wasn't up to the task of holding all my spare parts on one spindle.

I just finished version 2. Split the weight onto two swing outs and used the heaviest duty spindles I could find. Also added a telescoping LED work/camp light. For more details follow the link in my sig line.

Now this is a heavy duty bumper. Was never able to ID who built this model bumper

I like those eye hooks. Where'd you get those? And, slightly off topic, but what do you use to fill the license plate holder holes in the door?
Most fastener shops should have simlar eyelet bolts there rated to 4.7t each which is plently strong enough I don't trust hook style recovery points anymore as I've had a few straighten now and straps go flying yet to break an eyelet,
Holes in the door are just filled with 5/8" rubber grommets
Cheers
