I too am impressed with the turning radius. My turn stops are adjusted slightly. I was open for all the turns as well. I would say that he took a better line than I did, but that really isn't an option. The trail just isn't wide enough.

There is only one line and I was Center Locked. I was going to do a pin7 by the fire on Saturday night but there was too much other fun to be had, that plus the fear of clipping the wrong wire the night before a sweet run. The reduction in turning radius has the up side of preserving the CV's. They often break when the steering is at full lock and power applied.

I lost over a foot in turning radius when adding the wheel spacers. It is not noticeable most of the time but as pa stated, on very tight turns it can be a disadvantage.

Not sure of trail conditions other than wet when you guys were there but I've driven Black Bear twice in two weekends and the second time I seemed to be able to swing the turns easier & with less back and forth.

Trail conditions are the worst I've seen them in 10 years of running BB. Huge precipitation events in July caused numerous mud slides, rock falls and Soughing of shoulders. The shoulders are now soft with lots of holes which lead you 2000 feet to the bottom. This is one of the few trails I regularly run that I still get nervous on every time. This is a good thing.

Here's a pic of my rig with a little different setup. 275/60-20's on my 100 with an OME suspension swap with 3" lift. Running EMS cat-back exhaust helps compensate for the big wheels/tires. Deleted the roof rack to avoid clearance problems and help mileage (?).

Paflytyer, you've built a great rig. However, I recall when you first bought it, you just wanted a rig to get to and fro the streams and camping. Now you've built a badass wheeler. Congrats. If I got the wrong guy, I'm sorry. No offense at all.

Thanks! Yeah.... that was me. I still take it fishing. I did all the things I thought I wanted in terms of a fishing/camping vehicle. I really did buy this thing to just go fishing. I don't know what happened.

I think that 100s look amazing built like yours, so I'm glad you did! I bought a Jeep Cherokee in college to take my buddies skiing, and two years later it had a long arm suspension, locker, snorkel, sawzall'd fenders, an ARB bumper, Wilderness roof rack, sound system, 6 hella lights, and 35" tires when the largest tire I had ever seen on a Cherokee was 33 It happens! In fact, I was recently toying with selling my 100 to get back into a Jeep, but after driving a JKU I missed mine so I will continue my build at a much faster pace now.
