Howdy-

I just pulled the trigger on a Lincoln SP-175T and I am looking for ideas for my first projects... a welding table and cart for the welder and gas.

Maybe a little note of why you did "such and such" and what you might do over?

I appreciate it!

My cart and my almost done table. It just needs the top. Go with bigger casters then you think. Mine are rated for 1000lbs each, I think.

It's hard to see but I have a grinder holder on the side of the cart. It's really nice to have so handy.

Cool set up, need to throw some insulation in those walls.

Thanks for the post. Why do you have the one bar under the left side of the table top? Is if for some cool secret thing!?

Anyone else?

Thanks!

Don't have pics on this computer, but the build thread is here: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=141325

Only thing I would do is put on bigger front casters as the current 3"ers don't roll over extension cords on the shop floor.

There are pics of my shop table somewhere in my minitruck build thread(link in sig) but it's all wood and not really a welding table.

Ary,

Stinkin' awesome man. I have a lot of left over tubing from another project, I may be copying your cart quite a bit. :D

thanks!

Welding cart

The tig cart is home-made. The one for the mig welder is Miller's.

My home-grown welding table. 3x5, with butt-ugly, cheap-ass grinder. But the vise is an Athol, barely visible on the far side, and is the strongest darn piece of functional metal I've got. Thanks Dad.

I like your tig cart. Is that a Syncrowave 180 SD? How do you like it?

I like the 180 a lot. I'm a much better mig welder though. But I'm gradually getting the variable together to produce a good, penetrating weld and a bead that looks nice. Well, sorta. My hope is to tig my roll cage. We'll see about that. :-)
