Sorry if this has been addressed before, I did a search and didn't see anything on it.
I'm thinking about tinting the windows on my 40 but would like to see what it looks like. If you have pictures of your FJ40 with tinted windows I would love to see them. Thanks.

I had better pics but cant locate...

Anymore out there?

I'm thinking about tinting my windows, has anyone done their own? If you have, would you do it again? Product recommendations?

cyrilward and grant5127, nice looking rides. I'm probably not going to go the tinted route, even though I do like the look. My family station wagon has pretty dark tinted windows and they are nice during the day but are terribly hard to see out of at night. I figure the cost and the hassle of doing it wouldn't be worth the chance of backing into or turning into any "obstacles".
@77 Mike - if you do go the tinted route be sure to let me know how it turned out and some details, maybe it'll persuade me.

My windows are all tinted (except the windscreen/windshield because it is illegal to tint that here):

But the film used is not very dark and now that it's 30+ years old there are billions of little bubbles between the film and the glass. (I probably should remove it or replace it now.)

(It was on the vehicle when I bought it back in 1981.)

Mike,

I ripped out the 20yr old faded purple tint from mine this summer and have been meaning to do it or have it done. A local shop on Monroe Rd pissed me off and I walked before even getting a quote. Probably gonna do it myself now. Let's talk and see if we can share the knowledge/experience.

I'd really like to know if modern product will eliminate the horrible glare on the big, flat windows at night.

I think it looks pretty good. Here in Arizona, That's not a bad idea. I don't care what anyone else thinks, Not Bad At All.

JohnVee - I'd be up for that. I wanted to replace the window gaskets eventually so this would be a good project to tackle at the same time.

Skidplate - My truck will probably end up looking a lot like yours. White wheels, fender flares and tinted windows. Cool picture.

I've thought about it more than once, but decided not to since I take my top and doors off every summer anyway.
