If you ever wondered where the "Dune" part of 464 came from, take a look at a Dune Beige '40 in the desert and in a sandstorm - it's a pretty good match. You can see the crest of a dune in the background. Trimmed with 900-16 sand tires, it's a 1983. They are called "Ruba" by the locals, meaning 1/4".
Son age 13 driving and wife in the back - that's the way the locals would do it.
Pic #2 shows the same 40 under a blue sky with green all around ... in Canada, without the sand tires and #1 son driving.
cheers

A 'Cruiser just doesn't get any better looking than that... There may be other 'Cruisers that look like they are meant more for hard core rock crawling and there is a beauty in that, and still others that look exactly like they just came off the show room floor and there is a beauty in that, but IMHO, THIS is the perfect mix of all things that a 'Cruiser is meant to be!
