Looking for thoughts, ideas, retailers etc.

Couple of days ago started to notice the clunk on hard bumps. Further investigation found that my upper shock bushing took leave of my 60. It is an Old Man Emu Nitro charger shock on an 82 fj60. I want to know if / where you can buy bushings for this application. Thanks.

I've got the same problem in the right front but have a complete set of OME replacements for my long-delayed axle/brake/suspension upgrade. Since I'm going SR in the front, should I just throw the OMEs on now because they won't allow enough travel & I should do the Ford mount upgrade anyway? Or will letting the shock bang against the mount be OK for several thousand miles?

I really wish we could find polygraphite shock bushings that'd fit our rigs. I've measured the OE bushings but haven't been able to find anything that matches. It'd very much help avoid problems like these though.

Steve I'd say go ahead and throw the new bushings in for now.

Spooky - how 'bout entire new shocks - that's what I have.

Why would you want poly/graphite? The bushings are supposed to stay put while the mount (bolt) rotates in the sleeve. Suspension bushings, yes. Shock bushings, no.
