I wasn't trying to, I didn't even know that they were judging the cars.
I am sure it has nothing to do with my beautiful wife riding along in the passenger side.

I replaced the original horns with super loud Hella horns. With yellow covers, of course. The steering was getting a bit loose, so I tightened up the box. Nice and tight now! Still have lots that I want to get done before pig party 2019.

They will do fine. Louder then the stock ones for sure.

I installed a new p.a. speaker and am figuring out what needs to be done so next year I will be at all the fj55 meets that I can.

I carry all my recovery gear in a ammunition box. It is heavy when it is full and it slides around in the back no matter what I do to strap it down. So, I cut a hole in my floor:

Interested to see a pic from below showing its relation to the driveline...but yeah a lot safer than flying around.

I will. I need to fill in the gaps and redesign the latch that holds the rear seat bottom down. I have lots of room underneath, but I am sprung over with a 3/4" body lift.

I have the box finished and installed. I lined it with sound deadener to keep the noise and heat down, and of course to keep my luxury car status.

Now I need to figure out about reworking the factory seat bottom latch.

My bottom seat latch has been inop for as long as I can remember. Never had an issue.

Mine has been usable when I would clean it and lubricate it, but most of it's life it has not been functional. I would like it usable in case of roll over. One less thing moving when it shouldn't. Besides, it sounds like fun to figure out how to make it better.

Got it filled up again.

Installed some better fire extinguisher holders for the rear fire extinguisher. Also got some work done on a axe / shovel holder.
