You gonna have clearance above to remove the oil cartridge, looks like there are brake lines in the way in the pic?

Tucker

I have that issue with my set up, too. I'm going to have to reroute them or bend new ones.

Jeff, I have the filter relocation kit if you want it :)

The firewall is well massaged, but I suspect that more adjustments are needed. I'm thinking about making the slots in the motor mounts longer so I can slide the motor more to the passenger side although it would not have to be much maybe a quarter inch.

Tucker, I haven't thought too much about pulling the oil filter cartridge out. I don't think it'll hit any of the brake lines but there's one way to find out and I hope I will be finding out soon as I am about to finish up the interior and then move on to get this thing running.

I have this problem too, but luckily it's my parking brake cable which just needs to be adjusted in. I couldn't believe that with all the head scratching and looking at the install from every angle that I missed that. Didn't realize it until I went to change the oil...

no rain and after some coffee and some convincing the windshield is in.

That thing looks GREAT!

Looks amazing keep up the good work I need to tear mine down and re-re-do it

Looks terrible. I'll give you $2,000, or $2,250 if you'll deliver it to Colorado...:hillbilly:

You're making great progress.

What's your plan for an air filter? I might just run the stock setup until I figure something else out. Did you use an oil cooler?

I am thinking of using and Fj80 air filter or maybe an earlier fj40 air filter canister. Yes I do have an oil cooler and I'm trying to figure out where to put it.

Another good day of wrenching! Replaced the passenger door window, took off the exhaust and intake manifold and cleaned up the intake manifold from all the EGR schmootz, install the exhaust downpipe adapter and exhaust down pipe, then took off the windshield frame to go get some glass put in it. I'm thinking of running a 3 inch straight pipe down the fender and under the passenger side step.

Would it be possible for you to get some measurement on how far aft the radius of the bend on your downpipe extends for me? My starter is on the same side as the downpipe and I need something that dumps relatively straight down. I might have to get one fabricated, but I really want to avoid dropping that much $$$$$.

Did you pick that one up from ATP Turbo? Here's the cheapest I can find it.

Looks like four and a quarter inches. I called ATP and talk to them and told them what I was looking for and they help me find the right downpipe. I hope this helps.

Well a break in the honey do list formed this morning and I was able to get back to fun. I started modifying my radiator shroud to fit my cooling fan and mounted my 3 in 1 gauge. The gauge does exhaust temperatures, boost, oil pressure.

How's the project coming? I've got about 60 miles on the Mule so far and everything is working as it should it seams.

To answer your previous question my temp gauge does read backwards, but I'll fix it later. 3/4 hot is about 185F from what I can tell...

Well I dropped the drive shafts off at the driveshaft shop last week and I am home stretch on my radiator shroud mount. I'll post up some pics once I finish it. But as usual things are going slowly but surely. Thank you for the information about your temperature. Another cruiser had local has a tap so I can use a Toyota of temperature sender in the head mount.
