Finally, the planets align and I get to wrench! I figured out how to get the windows in. I had to duct tape the seals to the windows, soap up the doors and the seals, and then do the rope trick. It helps to have the most beautiful wife in the world help you!

Another good day of wrenching! Replaced the passenger door window, took off the exhaust and intake manifold and cleaned up the intake manifold from all the EGR schmootz, install the exhaust downpipe adapter and exhaust down pipe, then took off the windshield frame to go get some glass put in it. I'm thinking of running a 3 inch straight pipe down the fender and under the passenger side step.

Looks good. What's the word on that downpipe? Any thoughts on an intake? I might try to keep the OEM deal...

Are you wondering where I got the down pipe? The intake, I'm thinking about putting it on the driver side into a Fj80 air cleaner. It's just an idea now but the passenger side is too crowded to run an intake. Also I want to get the air box away from all the heat of the turbo. The OEM location of the air box seems like a hot plate to cook stuff on.

Well, since I'm on vacation, I've declared it national welding and Left Handed Milk Stout Nitro day. Therefore completing the rollcage driver's side frame tie-in done. Enjoy the pics!

Moved the shifter hole back 36 millimeters and adjusted the tcase shifter arm since apparently the five speed tranny I now have in there has a different position than the old 4 speed.

So you have good clearance for the oil filter? I had to hack up my firewall. :(

You gonna have clearance above to remove the oil cartridge, looks like there are brake lines in the way in the pic?

Tucker

The firewall is well massaged, but I suspect that more adjustments are needed. I'm thinking about making the slots in the motor mounts longer so I can slide the motor more to the passenger side although it would not have to be much maybe a quarter inch.

Tucker, I haven't thought too much about pulling the oil filter cartridge out. I don't think it'll hit any of the brake lines but there's one way to find out and I hope I will be finding out soon as I am about to finish up the interior and then move on to get this thing running.
