So as a recent transplant to the Seattle area I thought it would be fun to head out to the mountains and check out some snow. Everything was fine until we were leaving one of the forrest roads during early night time. By this point I saw that the temperatures were at freezing level. I had a sketchy incident during the descent which had me thinking of buying a set of tire chains. What chains do you guys use for oversized tires, everything I see on Amazon has the sizes up to 255/60/17 etc. I'm currently running KO2s in 275/70/18.

Edit: Ended up finding a good set, but any specific recommendations that you've had good experience with?

I ended up finding a set on Amazon as I included SUV/Truck into the search. I ended up getting Peerless AutoTrac spec which were highly rated. I'll definitely check them for fit prior to testing them out.

When I had spacers I bought a floor jack and did it myself.

Hi guys,

I got a few sets of chains from amazon to try for fit. Among them I got Security Chain Company QG2828CAM for only $46.40+tax. They are listed now for $157. I do not need them and I'm going to return them.
But given the excelent price maybe someone wants them locally. Shipping for 20+ lbs is not cheap and I do not have time to mess with that.

They are the cam version. They are v-bar design - each link on the chain has a V claw welded on it. They are very aggressive not for use on pavement.
