Im facing a dilemma that I suspect many have encountered -- my seats wiggle and wobble like crazy. I've looked for a thread on how to correct this problem with no luck (if you know of one, please point me to it). I'd like to keep the OEM seats if I can, but if the wobble doesn't get under control, it's replacement city. So, here's my questions:

1) Have you fixed the wobble in your seats and, if so, how?

2) If you replaced your seats, what did you use? What about the back seat? Include pics if you can!

Thanks in advance!

have you looked underneath and looked where the movement is happening?
the seats are easy to remove, 4 bolts look at the sliders something may be worn or broke.

On my stock seats, they would wiggle from the pins the backs pivot on. The pins or holes were worn. You could probably replace them, but the seat bottoms were well worn out too. So I got a pair of corolla seats and made some brackets to mount them. If you are at all handy, go to a junk yard and find some comfy seats!

My driver's seat would shift a bit. Annoyed me to heck. One of the slides was missing a roller. How that happened, who knows? I replaced that slide with a good used one.
I'm working on installing a pair of 2007 Mercedes E350 seats these days while my 62 is in pieces. Controlling the electrics is challenging, but doable with 5 switches and 10 relays per seat. If I could figure out what voltages the factory door switches sent through the canbus, it might be easier.

3Puppies, yep, have taken them all out (which led to some serious mission creep in yesterday's project, which started with "hey, lets fix the seats" and ended with tear out of carpet, install of new stereo, and install of new dash. But back to the seats today :))

The sliders seem pretty good. One possible culprit is the large square hole in the front outside brackets -- all other locations where the bolt goes through is round, but on front outside, it's square. I'm going to try to fabricate something to fit in this space -- it has to be the source of at least some of the wobble.

Any ideas?
