Last Shane updated the thread he had the weave almost exactly matched and had a few samples for color matching. He is much further along that originally thought but other items are taking priority to this gets "time as available", I think I am still going to have my drivers side fixed for the time being (I was quoted $140 for vinyl and new padding) and then when Shane is done I will evaluate the cost and probably go his way.

Those look nice...

I think Shane at Metric Tlc is working on having a custom weaved fabric done to emulate the OEM fabric. I think he's a ways off yet but I think it's coming as well.

Just put them on last weekend. They were a little more than I wanted to spend, but in the end they look great. Installation was a chore, but if it werent for their spot on sewing match, could of been a lot worse. Highly recommend them (ordered brown w/ no tailgate).

I was lucky and had a parts rig with a really good pass seat, like yours it looks great in the drivers side position.

Brand new Bestop Trailmax II for a heep bolted right in!!
Unbolt the seat frames/sliders from thw originals and bolt them to the new seats. Just don't get thrown off by threaded holes that bestop provides for the heeps, you need to use the blank holes provided in the bottom of the seat. I just used a tape measure to confirm dimensions, grabbed some grade 8 nuts/washers and bolts, and bolted em right up!!

Very nice find. They look great; thin and not overstuffed, and a good color match. Are they comfortable? Do they have decent lumbar support?

A google search for Trailmax II showed several different models for different year Jeeps. Could you please share a part number or a more specific description?

Finnyfam60

Really nice jeep seats...and straight bolt on too!

Do you know the model # you used??? And how much they cost? Looking to get new front seats in grey.

Cheers

Reevesci- I kind of like that.
What year/model Volvo please?
What kind of welding?

OD

OD, 2005 Volvo S80. I cut the factory mounts off the Volvo seats and welded 2" flat tabs on the rear and a piece of 2" angle all the way across the front.

Bought seats off Ebay for 300.00 shipped.

Im going to do the pt cruiser seats. Found a set for next to nothing from this guy who buys junk cars and parts them out. Drivers seat has the fold down arm rest and passenger seat tumbles forward completely flat.......now just to get the time to get them mounted.Maybe after GSMTR.

Sweet!
Thanks:cheers:

The wife has an 01 S80, and the seats in that are very comfortable.
I would think the later models would be about the same.

:hhmm:Huum...See I'm only 5'8".

The stock drivers seat in my 89 was trashed, so a buddy provided a set of stockers from an earlier model 60.

It appears the seat bottom heights are substantially different, and sitting in the drivers seat now, feels like I'm sitting on the floor pan.

Since I'm not going to get any taller, I guess it's time to break out the old tape measure:D

Dang! Well, I just got my used foam from Canada- giving that a try- otherwise ill have to seriously consider the memory foam bottom from SOR of go all the way an replace the full seat with one of these... The 1:1 plug and play bolt on is what's got me interested.
