Dears,

I have purchased an adaptor for odb1 but when its plugged to the scanner and car it s giving error in connection. Should I buy another scanner ?

You'll be hard pressed to get a ODB2 scanner to connect to a ODB1 vehicle regardless of the cable.

You could look on Ebay for a used Snap On MT2500 code scanner with the correct cartridge, ( Asian import to cover your year truck) and plug (Toyota OBD1 plug) it'll work on your OBD1 truck. I know for fact that this scanner will work on your OBD1 Toyota Land Cruise, because i use this same scanner on my 1994 Land Cruiser. If you shop you can find them on EBay for anywere between 100 to 300 dollars US, it's a great piece of kit. The nice thing about this scanner, you can watch it's LCD screen as it live streams the data in real time as you drive down the road.
