I just gor my 80, and I am wondering just how big is the gas tank on this thing?
Also, what does it take to put an auxillary tank?

Thanks
Kent

25. something gal
Congrats on the 80!

Welcome :flipoff2:

25 gallons

alot of work.

call crusierdan. order an owner's manual.

oh yea... :flipoff2:

.....and to answer your next question, the little yellow idiot light that tells you to put more gas in comes on with about 5 gallons left. You will see this light frequently. hehehe

25.4 gallons.

light comes on with 5 gallons left.

aux tank appears to be a PITA.

When/If I change my tank, I'd go with a larger main tank. You get more capacity and seemingly less work. Not quite as much "bling" as the aux tank...

I was hoping it was a 15 gallon tank. at least that would make me feel better because of how fast that tank seems to empty. :crybaby:

Hmmmmmmm........15 gallon tank and you are putting in 20 gallons at every fill up. I don't think so. :censor: :censor: :censor:

Hopefully you didn't purchase the LC for it's economical gas mileage did you?

25.1 gallons actually Mr President....... Correction supplied by your Transportation & Class Three Firearms Secretary.....:flipoff2:

13.2 gallons for the OEM subtank.

Here in the UK it costs £70 to fill up from empty, that is 127.405 USD at the current exchange rate, I just been on a camping vaccation and clocked up 553 miles and put exactly £120 in the tank and at the current exchange rate to US dollars it's $218 USD or $274 CAD or $284 AUD I dread to think what miles per gallon I got, mind you, most of the time on the way back I was doing 100mph so not even gonna work it out!

Holy cow!!!! That is expensive. If gas was that expensive, i would have to consider selling out i think.

they don't do k's

I would've sworn it was .4

This is specifically why I have you as our Transportation & Class Three Firearms Secretary :D

I feel your pain.

I heard that you in the UK have something like an 80% petrol tax. Gotta keep thesocialists fed I guess. :crybaby: I once paid $70 to fill my Skyline's tank from the 1/2 way mark in Japan. No idea how many liters it was, but it was expensive. Oil changes were $75-$150 depending on who did it.

I take that you don't get the sub tank as standard on the US cruisers.
Just got home from work and noticed the fuel price at the local servo was $1.16 per litre thats $110.00 for a tank of deisel. What is the price in the US per litre or gallon???

No sub tank on US cruisers. In the US petrol stations used to be on every corner, and while there are far fewer these days it is still hard to drive 100 miles in the country without coming across a fuel pump. That said there are places where it is valuable to have the extra tank, especially as mileage decreases when towing, e.g.
