All good right? Then after the weekend I'm driving to work and as I start going up the garage ramp I hear a BAM!!!!!

Truck sits too high now... $!$!#$ no longer fits in my work garage without the roofrack hitting.

I'm not willing to give up the rack for sure. I may have to change the springs again later. For now I got me a lower car to take to work :)

Exitement of going to HIH7 is building up. I had two things I wanted to do to the hundy before HIH7. New radiator to replace the browning 15 year old OEM and the steel brake lines. Yesterday I got the new Denso radiator installed. Denso is identical to oem except 1-2 lbs lighter. Quality is good and Im happy with it. Didnt remove shroud, relatively easy install no issues. Biggest headache was receiving an undamaged radiator from amazon. 3rd try was the charm.

I would love to have a fellow cruiser neighbor!! currently i'm the oily, greasy weirdo on my street. One neighbor finally stopped by and asked if I owned a dealership. He said had to stop and ask.

Dangit!!!! Was waiting to do the upper/lower link bundle for January. Might have to pull the trigger today instead. Thanks for the heads up

Well I'm back in to log in some notes and next steps for the aircruiser. Had an awesome trip and experience at HIH7. I already had great love for Colorado and it just grew that much more this time around. The town of Silverton now has a special place in my heart but most importantly I met the most awesome people. The community here is one of a kind including users and vendors, what a great thing to be a part of.

As for the aircruiser she behaved well, I was towing a 3k lb rpod from Durango up to Silverton and man that was the first time I towed something in that sort of incline. There was definitively some 25mph times and burned brake smell times in that short 1.5 hour drive. ATRAC took care of everything on the trails, I was hoping I'd finally get a chance to use my rear e-locker but didn't have to use it at all.

For anyone prepping your rig for this event its true that stock cruisers can handle everything fine, however I recommend that your primary concern and if you only had one thing to look over before this trip or had the funds to upgrade is your BRAKES!!!!

I don't know why I overlooked the importance of this and didn't overhaul these before I left my home town, I was insecure about them the whole time because I didn't look over them before I left.

There was definitively instances on the trail where my brakes were tested of their full capability and I was insecure of it. Now back home here is whats happening.

Ordered:

  1. Power Stop vented discs all the way around
  2. Power Stop ceramic carbon fiber pads
  3. Slee Stainless braided lines
  4. 2- rear metal brake lines

There was two folks with failed alternators at the event so some preventive maintenance ordered:

  1. Denso 100 amp alternator
  2. New Toyota OEM Power Steering Pump
  3. New Toyota OEM Power Steering Reservoir
  4. New Sungsong Hi Low pressure Power Steering hoses
  5. Crusier Outfitter bearing kit
  6. Slee bearing grease tool

Lots of work ahead!

I did the power stops and Slee lines in the spring and really like the modulation and stopping I have now. Good luck with your brakes.

How come are you replacing the power steering pump?

The pump had started a faint winding noise and I had been limping the pump with lucas oil for sometime. I also didn't want to mess with rebuilding the pump. Pretty much ordered the entire system except rack... hoses even new reservoir as it was showing spider cracks and looking brittle.

I picked up this little badboy for next trip. Fold out tables are working great right now to sort out all the parts I'm working with. Solar panel/battery lifts the wrack up and down with tent, have not seen this before.
